A VERY VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER!
Went to Ma Maison today!
It wasn't hard to locate it as i would often wonder why would that restaurant be located at such an isolated and hidden area.
I go to Central quite often, so I've walked past the restaurant many many times.
Was really excited when i stepped in, the place was so pretty!
It seemed like some one's dining room, and i got invited over for lunch.
The menu choices were rather limited, but it may not be a bad thing.
I, personally feel safer when ordering, the possibility of one making a bad choice would be narrowed! Alas, it also deters me from going there too often.
The menu was strange too, they were laminated pieces of paper.
I couldn't really make out what it was , so we just ordered 2 set lunches.
SOUP- i liked it! It had pieces of bacon and onion in a cream base. Don't know what it is called either.
SALAD- Never really enjoyed uncooked vegs, but ate half a bowl as i'm pimple-ing.
MAIN COURSE- the omelette rice was delicious, esp the omelette, but the beef and mushroom slices were only so-so, but not really into their sauce.
And, i obviously had to try my sis's HAMBURGER STEAK - it came with rice(or bread), their rice is so good. It's japanese rice by the way, fluffy and fragrant. I like their potato salad too. the hamburger was quite good. Not really a beef person, but it was enjoyable.
ICED TEA(or coffee)- okay, their iced-tea was rather ordinary.
DESSERT(not included in set)- N/A and not many choices too.
was too full!!
Not forgetting their service- was promptly seated and the flow of our meal was good, not rushed and neither did we have to wait long for our next course!
But it would be best if you make a reservation first.
